Two co-founders of In The Zone Mental Training. One PGA Professional, one national champion, and one system that has helped 500+ golfers score lower.
Bo started playing at 5, when his dad and grandpa handed him a cut-down 3-wood on a par 3. He dreamed of the PGA Tour — until his game plateaued in high school and a knee injury ended his shot at a Division I scholarship. He went on to train under David Orr, short game coach to Justin Rose, Hunter Mahan, and Paul Casey.
In 2018, Bo met Shannon, who shared the keys to PsychoNeuromuscular Training. Over the next six months Bo played 8 rounds with zero physical practice — and shot under par in 6 of them.
Shannon started playing competitive soccer at 6, then took up speed skating in high school. He played professionally for the Charlotte Eagles, traveling the U.S. and to Holland, Denmark, and Germany, before returning to in-line speed skating. He placed 2nd at Nationals in 1996 and won in 1999 with a national record time.
A quote that called speed skating "10% perspiration and 90% concentration" sent him looking deeper into the mental side of the game. After years of research and trial and error, he put the pieces together and discovered what is now called PsychoNeuromuscular Training. Within 2 months he was winning every start in practice, and he went undefeated to win the 1999 National Championship.
